Disability Income Rider (Based on Loans): Protection for Every Stage of Life

With housing costs continuing to climb and many households struggling to build savings, young professionals and families are renting longer than ever. But while lifestyles are shifting, one thing hasn’t changed: the financial impact of an unexpected disability.

In fact, younger clients are statistically more likely to face a disability during their working years than to experience an early death. Yet many don’t have a solid financial cushion to rely on if their income suddenly stops.

That’s where Assomption Life’s Disability Income Rider can make a real difference. Its affordable coverage helps protect a wide range of eligible loans, including:

  • Rent

  • Condo fees

  • Lease payments

  • And much more…

Unique features:

  • Parental leave eligibility: Clients on parental leave can qualify for up to $1,500 per month—no need for the other spouse to be insured at the time of application.
  • Coverage up to $3,500 per month, or up to $5,000 per month when combining DI on income and on loan.

Women’s Health & Workplace Well-Being

International Women’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on the important role women’s health plays in the workplace.

Women are more likely to access mental health services, manage chronic or hormonal health conditions, and carry significant caregiving responsibilities. For employers, this can translate into impacts on absenteeism, presenteeism and overall productivity.

Here’s how Assumption Life can help support women’s health in the workplace:

  • Virtual care platforms that improve timely access to medical services.

  • EAP services that address stress, mental load and caregiver burnout.

  • Paramedical coverage that supports preventive and ongoing care.

  • Drug plans that help manage chronic health conditions.

  • An on-demand wellness platform offering educational articles and resources on a wide range of women’s health topics.

Women’s health is closely tied to workforce sustainability, engagement and retention—making it an important consideration in overall plan design.
