Hello,

We look forward to continuing to provide you with excellent service and reliable processes to support you throughout the New Year.

We would like to inform you that as of January 24, 2022, Assumption Life will be responsible for ordering medical requirements. Please note that you will be responsible for ordering the medical requirements until then.

While multiple factors influenced this choice, the addition of predictive analytics played a significant role in the decision of what medical requirements were deemed necessary.

By assuming responsibility for ordering medical requirements, our underwriting team aims to avoid any unnecessary requirements. In other words, faster execution and response times for you and your clients.
We would like to provide information on questions you may have following the announcement of these changes.

Q: When will these changes come into effect?

A: As of January 24, 2022, Assumption Life will be responsible for ordering the medical requirements.

Q: Will I be informed of the requirements that have been ordered?
A: Yes, as with our current process, you will be kept informed of the progress of the application in the "New Application Status" located in Advisor Corner. The "New Application Status" will now include the details of the medical requirements that have been ordered.

Q: Can I follow up on medical requirements with the paramedical company directly?
A: Not at the moment. However, we are working on providing a solution.

Q: Will there be any delays?
A: No, once the application has been transferred to our underwriting team, they will process the request for medical requirements immediately. Please note that ordering medical requirements will have a positive impact on turnaround times.

Q: Why did Assumption Life introduce these changes?
A: While multiple factors influenced this choice, the addition of predictive analytics played a significant role in the decision of what medical requirements were deemed necessary. As a result, our underwriting team expects that ordering requirements in-house will prevent any unnecessary requirements and delays.

We thank you for your ongoing trust and support!
